Your Card for Today: The Moon

MoonFor today, The Moon glides over its own garden. Beneath its faint light, everything looks different to how it usually would.

The Moon is a card of illusion. It’s magic can distort our vision and manipulate those things we believe to be true. In that sense, the card can bring about confusion and unrest in some. In others, it can awaken creative visions and psychic messages. It can also suggest that we are having the wool pulled over our eyes.

As we reach the middle of the week, The Moon may well be spreading its dark wing over situations or relationships in your life. Your intuition will likely be heightened at this time and you’ll notice things you usually would not. This card asks you to become more reliant on your intuitive abilities. If something doesn’t feel right, there could be a valid reason for it.

For today, trust your sixth sense. What appears fine on the surface may very well be no more than an illusion. Do you have a hunch about a specific situation which you keep telling yourself is silly but you cannot shake? Does someone or something in your environment seem too good to be true? Today is not a day for pushing away your psychic responses to the world around you. If something doesn’t feel right, chances are that it isn’t, so keep your intuitive-wits about you!

  1. Ahh yes…Moon energy. For some reason this card used to make me nervous, but it really shouldn’t. I think we’re afraid of the unknown. Even afraid of our own intuition. Better to go with it! This is a pretty deck. Very hippie-ish, which I love! 🙂 Hugs.

    • Yes, I agree, Hannah. We’re always scared of what is hidden and another tarotist commented today about how those things unseen needn’t always be bad. This is possibly where creative visions and psychic understanding come in.

Yes, you’re right, it is hippie-ish. It’s got a very quiet voice though. You could almost forget it is there. Next weeks will be far more brash 😉
