This is a traditionally based version of the 3 of Cups: it is an echo of Waites design, which shows the three maidens dancing amongst the abundance of nature. In this card, set amongst the Moon Garden, we spy fairies standing either behind or inside overwhelmingly large cups.
After yesterday’s card of focus and will, we begin to see a reflection of our directed efforts in this card. Because the 3 of Cups can describe our emotional community, it could suggest that family and friends support and encourage your progress. These people will prove especially important when we are going through more difficult times or when our confidence is low.
When this card turns up, celebrations are often afoot. Of course, this card might concern lavish and important milestones in a larger reading, but for today, it is more likely that this card depicts small rewards and reasons to feel pleased with yourself. Look around and count your blessings.
Amongst your social community, who is with you and wants to celebrate the good things in your life as if they were their own? You’ll find that there are probably more people willing to raise a glass during your successes than hold your hand when you are feeling out of sorts. Today might be a time to work out which friends are with you for the entire ride and those who will eagerly jump off when the going gets tough!
