Your Card for Today: Here and Now

HereandNowI live in the here and now, always conscious of my active presence within the universe and of my work on earth.

As we move into the middle of this week, we have drawn Here and Now from Oracle of the Angels.

In this illustration, a figure is shown in prayer. His eyes are closed and light connects him to the world below. You may see the light as grounding him, since he exists within space and outside of the mundane world we experience each day.

This card concerns being brought back down to Earth. It’s not about being beamed up, but rather, it regards a returning to our place on the physical realm .. in the here and now.

So many oracle and tarot cards symbolise our dreams, the future, the past or our goals; but this one reflects where we sit at this exact moment and emphasises how important and influential the present really is. If you think about it, you could liken this to standing in the middle of a tunnel. At one end is where we’ve been and at the other is where we are going. Life is like a continuous gust of wind, passing from one end to the other. We cannot grab hold of it as it passes. Similarly, we can not affect what has happened. The only influence we have over our future is in the present moment. This makes our handling of the Here and Now card’s energy extremely powerful.

Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night, worrying about things that have happened in the past? Have you agonised over situations which may never arise or spent more time engaged in fantasy than the life you are supposed to be living? For today, take a reality check and assess where you are right now. With your feet planted firmly on Planet Earth, remember that mission-control exists only in this very minute. What are you going to do with it?
