Your Card for Today: Entwined

Entwined blog copyFor today, we have a card from a potential oracle, entitled Entwined.

In the  midst of the wood, two vines are wrapped together, excluding all others. In this natural tangle, they notice nothing else. Their partnership reminds us of a dance, expressive but focused. This couple move in different directions, but never forget that they are joined and make one.

Essentially, this is a card of deep relationship, love and care. It will often come up to highlight a lover or important union. At different times in our life, there will be people who shine the brightest, whether in a romantic or platonic context.

As we begin this week, it is important for us to remember that we are not alone. However much we express our individuality, there will always be those situations and relationships which keep us tied to other people. We might like to believe that we don’t need anyone else but deep down, there is value in sharing for everybody.

For today, keep a close eye on the relationships in your life. This includes new unions which are yet to be formed and existing ones which need a little extra attention. For any of us who are seeking love, this week could be significant. Keep your eyes open, because a relationship already formulated or about to begin could very well present the answer to a current problem, or obstacle.

  1. Lovely photo by Daz! Have to admit, I’m thinking a bit more about how to disentangle rather than entwine, as my Little One has hit a year and I want to encourage his autonomy… 🙂

    • Thanks Chloe! He takes some really interesting photographs and then gets further involved with their presentation.

As I was writing about this card today, I could see the difficult sides of entanglement. As much as the card suggests the importance of being tangled in certain relationships, it also speaks about a need to breath in your own space. As with tarot, should negative cards fall around it, the desire to disentangle could be pertinent.

I’m so glad you like the card!

    • Thanks Hannah!

Yes, they do. While walking through the woods, I could feel their presence as if it was human. Daz took some really beautiful and sensitive images of them and the flowers.

Didn’t really receive any gifts. I asked my parents, Daz and a few others to hold back for a bit, since there isn’t really anything I want or need at the moment and didn’t want them to waste their money. I had a lovely day with breakfast out, cake and coffees 🙂
