Your Card for Today: Page of Cups

Page of C copyFor today, from my Spirit within the Shadows Tarotwe have another card from the suit of Cups. This time it is the Page.

As the sun rises, this excitable Page of Cups stands amongst the rock-work of the beach. He (or she) is young and lean and open to the new experiences within life. He holds a cup to his lips. He is eager to taste and dive into new experience. Behind, a boat glides over the sea of emotion and feeling.

Sometimes, the Page of Cups will represent a person in our life – someone who is young and full of spirit – but often, he will signify an aspect of our self. We don’t need to be young to understand the excitement of youth. From time to time, we all become excited and want to dive into something which is emotionally or creatively satisfying.

Does the Page of Cups speak about something you wish to be involved with? Or could he be a spirited person in your life, either young in age or youthful in outlook? This card can suggest exciting prospects and messages of an emotional or romantic nature. Though this may be welcome to many of us, we must remember to not get carried away with our initial enthusiasm. Are the proposals headed our way as good as they appear? The Page of Cups will want to rush in where angels fear to tread, but those who are wiser and more experienced will naturally be more cautious.

The Page of Cups is not unlike your open heart. Although he represents new beginnings and our desire for relationships and emotional journeys of all kinds, his exuberant nature can leave him vulnerable. Whether he is a part of you or is someone in your emotional community, protect him and guide him in the best way that you can today.

“One ought to hold on to one’s heart; for if one lets it go, one soon loses control of the head too” – Friedrich Neitzsche
